Politics. Follow it or not... it affects us.

lyrics

Since we're all made of stardust,
Cut me and I shine, aint a rhyme of mine you can't trust,
I don't shine with what I wear and I own,
Dug from diamond mines tearing up Sierra Leone,
Why be the King of rap, I don't care for the throne,
When there's kids doing drugs on the stairs to my home,
Single parents alone, working three jobs to feed em'
Dreaming of the day they find some monetary freedom,
Gang warfare spilling out from Peckham to Brixton
Government couldn't care whether they wreck em or fix em
Blessings are distant in this pessimist system
There are lessons but I'm guessing we missed them,
For this cycle repeats, like the pedals kids ride on the streets,
Turning over where the night is a thief, stealing peace of mind
And the sirens compete, cops are violent on beats
fighting the youth, so the youth wanna fight the police

Remember we are governed are ruled
By politicians coming from the same couple of schools

Education secretaries would probably be more surprised
If they had to teach some classes of at least forty five,
Deprived areas are various, and multiplying,
MP's see the knives, say its their fault they're dying,
It aint as clear cut, as that,
For we don't change the poverty, we turned our backs
Learned our facts in the classrooms, at least we assumed
But British History is taught with a pinch of the truth,
War heroes and never slave traders,
Protector of our neighbours not colonial invaders,
Of petroleum we're raiders, so there's blood on the sands
Little Afghan boys, see the blood on our hands,
We would understand, if we removed the wool to peak out
Got freedom of speech, until your using to speak out

Remember we are governed are ruled
By politicians coming from the same couple of schools
