about

I loved the original of this track, and had to do a remix. Make sure you check out 'The Morning Process' by UK Veteran Verb T.

lyrics

Lyrics

Welcome to the world of wild boasts and self doubt,
Raised by a single parent, still I rarely helped out..
So I guess I'm really kinda heartless,
Call me what you want, I'm just an honest rhyming artist
Waving bye, to dad at flight departures,
He stabbed us in the back, betrayal on some Ides of March shit,
Forget the Roman reference, my only preference
Is you never show me deference, I'm an ordinary man,
Owe my presence, to my gifts and my gifts to my christmases
Watching crime drama, being silent witnesses,
To bust ups, I'd often say, 'can you not just wait,
At the very least until it's boxing day?'

Next scene, we were packing up and moving flats
No joke, but cracking up and feeling blue and bruised in fact,
Wrote it all down and crafted very human tracks,
Sold for revenue and those at school who never knew I rapped,
Thought I was cool, course I did...
Life sweet like Rekorderlig, before recorded gigs,
When I was talking big, dreams of notoriety,
Tried to show variety, no sobriety, I aint ever flowing quietly
About to break your shore, like a minor rap tsunami,
Sound your klaxon, hitting Britain like a saxon army
That's a takeover, grab the wheel, rearrange your range rover,
All you players claiming to shoot, it's game over...
Treating the streets like an arcade,
Say you spit but never even think about the bars sprayed..
No conscience, I'm bitter of the nonsense like John Smith's
Girls who dye to be the blondest, I would rather Pocohontus
Natural, actually factual, a satchel full of rhyme books
A pocket full of prose, socks are full of holes, bare my soul...
A little line of mine shines kinda like the rarest gold
Plus timeless, free like a good mind is,
Won't cost an arm and a leg like blood diamonds.
Even with a cast on, who would sign him?
Still I kept a straight spine, like book bindings,
Writing rap songs,
Very much a new comer,
Springing up on early mornings when I'm working through summer,
On a quest for love, like the Roots drummer,
Finished up my debut, I'll only sell a few numbers...
Though all my doubters I'll be proving wrong,
The kids a mix of Ice T and John Coffee, cool and strong...
Moving on, respect to my hero Verbs... you inspired me to do the song..
I hope you hear my words.
